November Update – Remembrance Sunday, opening hours and December events

Lots coming up over the next few weeks with Remembrance Sunday and the run up to Christmas, so here’s a little update of what’s on at the Limpsfield Royal British Legion.

Remembrance Sunday – Sunday the 12th  of November

The clubhouse will be open from 9.30am and will be serving complimentary tea and coffee. 

Order of events for Remembrance Sunday:

Here are the details for Limpsfield for Remembrance Sunday, 12 November

  • 0945 – St Peter’s Church, Limpsfield – The Oxted Band will lead in to the service which starts at 10am in St Peter’s Church followed by the Act of Remembrance, roll call, wreath laying and two-minute silence at 11am.
  • There will also be a service at Limpsfield Royal British Legion on Grub Street at the War Memorial at 11.30am, with a buffet from 12pm.
  • The Limpsfield Royal British Legion’s Club house will be open for 10am for those who would like to watch the Remembrance Sunday service on TV.
  • Tea and coffee will be available.

18th November, 8pm – Time Machine – playing party bangers from the 80s and 90s. £5 non members. Members free.

December Events

8th of December – Quiz night. Maximum of 6 people per team. Starting at 8pm, £3pp.  Food and price to be confirmed. 

Saturday 16th December, 3-5pm – Christmas Kids Party – open to members’ children aged 3-10 years old only. Please drop into the club and put your children’s names down on the list behind the bar. Places will book up quickly so don’t delay!

December 17th from 4-6pm – Grand Christmas Draw. All you have to do between now and then is buy a box for a £1 from the bar. The more boxes bought, the better the prizes…!

23rd of December – Elvis is back in the Building!  Tickets are on sale behind the bar, £5 for non-members. Please book in advance.

For private functions. The bar and clubhouse, hours, may  vary to normal opening times, please check when booking with the bar manager.
