Visitors to the Limpsfield Royal British Legion can also see a fascinating new exhibit.
The former display – a Coldstream Guards tunic and bearskin once worn by Paul Gandolf – has recently been returned to its owner, but it has been replaced by an impressive Royal Marines “Blues” tunic belonging Limpsfield Royal British Legion branch member and local resident, Richard, who served as a Royal Marines Lieutenant.

The 2025/26 Poppy Appeal has officially closed with a fantastic result. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our Poppy Appeal Organisers, Nigel and Malcolm, together with our wonderful volunteer collectors at Clacket Lane Services and Boots in Oxted’s Station Road East, an incredible £33,536 was raised – an increase of £2,000 on the previous year.
