As spring unfolds and the sunshine returns, there’s a renewed buzz of activity at The Limpsfield Royal British Legion. With the cricket season back in full swing at Grub Street, the club has a number of events to keep everyone entertained throughout April and May.
From toe-tapping live music and a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt to Russell’s Quiz Night and a special celebration for Surrey Day and the 80th anniversary of VE Day, there’s something for all ages to enjoy at the heart of the Limpsfield community…
Regular Highlights
- Bingo Nights – Test your luck and enjoy a fun-filled evening with friends.
- Jam Sessions – Showcase your musical talents or simply enjoy the local sounds.
- Meat Raffle – Every Sunday at 2:30 PM, don’t miss the chance to win quality cuts for your Sunday roast.
Easter Weekend Festivities
- Friday 19 April – Kick off the weekend with live music from the brilliant One Eyed Jack, performing from 8:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
- Sunday 20 April – Bring the family for an exciting Easter Egg Hunt from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
May Highlights
- Saturday 10 May – Join us for a special Surrey Day / VE Day 80th Celebration Afternoon. Afternoon (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM): Celebrate Wartime Limpsfield with 1945 fancy dress, delicious food, and a singalong with the fabulous Maddie Hart. The Air Raid Shelters next to the Legion will be hosting an open day that afternoon and there’ll be a convoy of vintage cars to look at thanks to Classic Car Connections. Then in the evening (8:30 PM – 11:00 PM), dance the night away with live music from The Southern Bandits.
- Friday 16 May – Put your knowledge to the test at Russell’s Quiz Night from 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Entry is £3 per person (teams of up to 6). Enjoy cash prizes and a hearty serving of sausages and chips included.
Dining at Billy’s Bistro
Indulge in hearty meals prepared by our resident chef, Billy. From traditional pies to beer-battered cod, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss the renowned Sunday Roasts served from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
