The Club’s Re-opening Guidelines

The Club extends a warm welcome to all members past and present, and to non-members.

We ask that all visitors observe social distancing and stay safe, and in order to comply with the Government’s Re-opening guidelines, The Club has introduced the following health and safety measures:

  1. ONE WAY SYSTEM
    There will be a one-way system in operation AT ALL TIMES to regulate entry to, and exit from the Club.
    ENTRY will only be via the main entrance to the Club adjacent to the car park.
    There will also be a one-way system within the Club itself, with both floor and wall signage.
    EXIT will only be via the rear door adjacent to the patio area.
  2. GARDEN AREA
    The will also be a one-way system in operation at all times to regulate entry to and from the garden,.
    ENTRY to the garden will ONLY be via the gate adjacent to the cricket pitch.
    EXIT will ONLY be via the newly refurbished gate at the top of the garden, adjacent to the car park entrance.
    We would ask that dogs are kept under control at all time within the garden area.
  3. TOILETS
    Only ONE person at a time should use the toilets, EXCEPT children under the age of 12, who must be accompanied by an adult. We ask that all visitors using the toilets wash their hands thoroughly before exiting.
  4. HAND SANITISER
    There are five hand sanitiser dispensers located throughout the Club and we would ask that they are used on entry to the premises and regularly during your time with us.
  5. SIGNING IN
    In order to comply with guidelines and to assist the NHS with Test & Trace, all visitors are asked to sign in on entry to the Club and provide their contact details on the forms provided, which are locate by the ENTRY door to the club. Rest assured that all contact details will be stored on paper form only and will be destroyed after a 21 day period, in compliance with Government guidelines.
  6. PAYMENT FOR FOOD AND DRINK
    In view of the current health and safety issues, the Club would prefer that payment for any food or drink is made by card, but cash will be accepted if necessary.
  7. BAR SERVICE
    Perspex screening has been installed at the bat to comply with social distancing and ensure the continued safety and wellbeing of both staff and customers. There is a queuing system in place for ordering drinks and food at the bar, with both floor and wall signage.
    We ask that social distancing is strictly observed, especially within the bar area itself. Standing by the bar or depositing any articles on the bar, is strictly forbidden.
    NO CHILDREN are permitted in the queuing area for the bar.
  8. TABLES/STANDING
    As a consequence of the Government guidelines, all seating and tables within the club have been positioned to comply with all social distancing measures. Please DO NOT move or reposition any of the tables and chairs and observe social distancing at all times, complying with the floor and wall signage throughout the Club.
  9. SMALL DINING ROOM
    For the time being, the small dining room at the cottage end of the Club will ONLY be used by the bar and kitchen staff, to allow unrestricted access to the garden area. However, the tables and chairs within this area have been specifically positioned in compliance with social distancing guidelines so that room can be utilised by customers at any time, should the need arise.
    The use of the room by visitors will be subject to constant review.
  10. ENTERTAINMENT
    In compliance with the Covid-19 guidelines, there will be no “live” entertainment at the Club until restrictions are eased. Initially on re-opening, visitors to the Club will NOT be permitted to use the Skittles, Darts, Gaming Machines or Snooker facilities. Again, this will be under constant review.

Due to the Covid-19 reopening restrictions, to staff furloughing and also for the general wellbeing of the staff and visitors, the Club will be operating under reduced times until further notice.

THURSDAY – 4PM – 7PM
FRIDAY – 3PM – 9PM
SATURDAY – 3PM – 9PM
SUNDAY – 12PM – 7PM

These opening times will be subject to ongoing review and will hopefully be extended in due course.

Please note that the Club welcomes all enquiries regarding group meal bookings and private functions outside of the initial re-opening period.

PRICE INCREASE
Please note, that on re-opening there will be a small price increase of 5% on food and drink, largely due to the consequences of being unable to operate for the last 15 weeks and to address the ongoing financial demands on the Club during this period.

It is worth mentioning that there has been no price increase the Club since April 2018 and the current increase is bing implemented to keep the club on a sound financial footing to ensure its future for many more years to come.

FOOD
Billy the Chef will be serving his fantastic food, with a new re-opening menu, for consumption on the premises, or for takeaway, throughout the Club’s opening hours.

Takeaway can also be provided outside of opening times by prior arrangement.

Traditional Sunday Lunches will be served 12-4pm. A choice of beef, lamb, turkey or pork. £12.

TAKEAWAY roasts also available.
